Porsche recorded selling numbers way ahead of their plan, so that was the best indicator to continue with development of this vehicle. No radical changes are expected for 2015 year model, but 2016 Porsche Panamera could start new generation of the vehicle. New architecture is mentioned as well as platform. This should improve balance and handling at high speeds. With MSB concept, drivetrain will be mounted forward, and that is the variation which Porsche’s engineers wanted to have. New platform means new materials used for building new Porsche Panamera. Lightweight aluminum and high-strength steel will make most of these. Aluminum will help 2016 Panamera’s diet, while steel will add necessarily strength in crashes. Weight lose by using these materials won’t be significant, since dimensions of the vehicle will remain the same. However, new Porsche Panamera will get some boost in fuel economy, especially if we know that current hybrid version has 700 pounds more than petrol engine. Engine range for 2016 Panamera has not been announced yet. We are sure that this car will be offered in wide range of drivetrains, from V6 and V8 engines, petrol, diesel and also plug-in hybrids. Porsche recently introduced turbocharged V6 powertrain, so it is probable that new Panamera will use some modified version of this engine. 2016 Porsche Panamera sales First generation of Panamera recorded excellent results in market, even better than company has predicted. For 2016 Panamera it is certain that Porsche won’t change winning combination. Expectations were bettered for 25%. Main market for the vehicle is US, but company is planning expanding to Chinese market for 2016 Porsche Panamera.
