Британский МИД запретил кормить служебного кота-мышелова
Ходят слухи, что тот обленился и не хочет работать.
Постоянный заместитель главы британского Министерства иностранных дел Саймон МакДональд (Simon McDonald) разослал своим подчиненным служебную записку с просьбой не кормить служебного кота-мышелова Палмерстона. Об этом сообщает The Telegraph.
К подобной мере руководству «Форин-офиса» пришлось прибегнуть из-за распространившихся в ведомстве слухов: якобы Палмерстона настолько часто подкармливали рядовые работники министерства, что он перестал справляться со своей главной обязанностью — ловлей мышей.
Источники Telegraph в британском МИД заявили, что, вопреки слухам, «не замечали перемен в талии животного». При этом самого МакДональда ранее публично заставали за подкармливанием служебного кота.
