Все, что стало известно с опубликованных сегодня утром в результате продолжающегося суда с FTC документов Microsoft и переписок глав Xbox и Bethesda:

- Список всех издателей и студий, которые Microsoft РАССМАТРИВАЛА для приобретения, т.е. даже до переговоров дело не доходило. Исключением являются Sega, Bungie, Scopely, IO Interactive, Zynga, Thunderful, Supergiant Games, Niantic, Playrix и Zynga, которые были ключевыми для приобретения. Не ясно, велись ли со всеми переговоры, но про Zynga это точно можно сказать со слов Фила Спенсера.

- Подтвердились древние слухи от Джеза Кордена и Джефф Грабба: Project Dragon от IO Interactive действительно существует, является РПГ шутером, издателем проекта выступит Xbox Game Studios Publishing и выйдет эксклюзивно на консолях Xbox и ПК (по крайней мере эта информация была валидна в 2021 году).

So when the question comes up about why don’t we have more Xbox consoles right now’ there are many factors but I think we aren’t really focusing on the right issue if we are focusing on the yield miss for Scarlett or the Halo launch date miss (both are execution issues, not ducking those, they are just not the main factors in our console scarcity). Gaming makes sense for MS. imo. as the focus on consumer. 1 can see no other clear consumer category with this TAM where Microsoft has the product truth today and customer demand that we have in Gaming and where the disruption that is happening in the business plays to some of Microsoft’s long term strengths (cloud and subs). On the capital allocation that we are making in Gaming, I believe our investments in content and xcloud are critical to realizing our potential in Gaming. Amazon Luna and Google Stadia do not have the console strength we have From a strategy perspective I believe in our tradeoffs for Cloud and Content in Gaming over console volume. I would obviously love to invest in all unconstrained but I completely support the tradeoffs we are making. With hardware timelines we can’t be as agile on supply when our revenue or AM targets exceed budgets as we are seeing in FY21 (even without Halo). We are making Q2 and Q3 decisions to airfreight consoles this FY which will pull some volume forward given how our P&L is tracking but this is more of a timing fix than a volume fix. We need to plan our FY22 hardware volumes now. With oir strategy and opportunity console volume will still be the thing we constrain to grow our long term ambition. So while we talk about yield as our issue with Xbox Series S|X today, there is some small truth to that but in reality if our yield was on plan right now we'd feel the same constraints and customer sentiment. We could sell more consoles this year and next year, there is demand. I’m happy to go deeper on the P&L investments if there is a desire. I realize there are a ton of decisions on spend. C19 impact on gaming release dates, XGP content investments etc. I believe in the tradeoffs we are making for our long term goals but there are near a mid-terms consumer engagement and console unit volume tradeoffs. First, some commentators have asked whether we will continue to make popular content like Activision’s Call of Duty available on competing platforms like Sony’s PlayStation. The obvious concern is that Microsoft could make this title available exclusively on the Xbox console, undermining opportunities for Sony PlayStation users. To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation through the term of any existing agreement with Activision. And we have committed to Sony that we will also make them available on PlayStation beyond the existing agreement and into the future so that Sony fans can continue to enjoy the games they love. We are also interested in taking similar steps to support Nintendo’s successful platform. We believe this is the right thing for the industry, for gamers and for our business. Did anyone at Xbox think about giving us a heads-up on this? I assume Forza Streets and Gears Pop are our plays but hard to see how they are scale plays -Genoa could have larger impact. In January on our console Fortnite was 550M+ of playing hours, RDR2 90M hours (total hours on Xbox 1.9M. Perhaps the mobile gaming market today is the early YT video market and it then developed to a more sophisticated YT market and premium with Netflix content- watched more on a mobile than any other device.

We have no strategy to win organically in mobile gaming. I can’t come up with one. The only thing we could do is close all the Xbox stuff and with the same OPEX try to start a mobile gaming company inside of MS. This is kind of what BobbyK is trying to do at ATVI.

блять, не заметил. Исправил.
Там много чего нужно исправить, так как там только четверть от всех трех судов. Нету новости например про то что starfield мог вообще не появится на xbox, если бы не покупка. Нету слов Фила Спенсера, о том что это поколения они считают проигрышным для компании, занимают сильно отстающую позицию и то что они играют в первую очередь в долгую. Заявления таких компаний как nintendo, что покупка Activision Blizzard не как не повлияет на гонку. То что Джим Райан ебаная крыса, которая не хочет конкурентов и то что значительный процент продаж занимает продажи связанные с CoD (кек)
Да я знаю что тут ДАЛЕКО не всё. зависит от того как пойдёт- будет местным аборигенам интересно- буду собирать инфу дальше.
Я сразу скажу, не будет. Так как те кто следит и так все знает, а остальным как то побоку и она не будут читать по десять постов, не о чем. Лучше дождаться итога и уже там в крации пояснить за ключевые моменты
