Mockstumps are absolutely harmless, they do not attempt to harm people and instead gain entertainment and attachment to them. Sometimes a particularly funny person would have a group of mockstumps accompanying them and laughing at their quips and jokes. Mockstumps become more robust the more it is enriched with quips and jokes, they would be able to grow a variety of rare fungi upon their bark that many could make a living cultivating. Mockstump farmers are particularly interesting and charismatic folk because of it.
