Ну вот в моей копипасте ещё про испытательный срок включает в себя всякие соц работы и прочее

хммм, любопытно я запутался в чем разница между "условным заключением" (suspended) и испытательным (probation)

Is a suspended sentence the same as probation?

No. A suspended sentence is a punishment ordered by the court that gets suspended so that a defendant can serve probation.

Probation, itself, is an alternative to jail in which the defendant serves out a sentence or part of the sentence (for instance, two years) in the community as opposed to behind bars.4

The probationer must comply with certain terms and conditions while on probation. Depending on the type of probation, the defendant must meet periodically with the judge or a probation officer to report on compliance.5

Examples of probation conditions include that a defendant:

perform community service,
attend a DUI school,
adhere to curfews,
seek gainful employment, and/or
not violate any other laws.
